Good to know
How to get here, where to park, what to expect.
Where we are
Piazza di Soziglia 1, 16123 Genoa. We are in the historic centre, inside the pedestrian zone: the last stretch is on foot, and it is worth taking slowly.
By car, and where to leave it
The property has no car park of its own and sits inside the ZTL, the restricted traffic zone: permits for private vehicles cannot be requested, so it is better not to drive all the way here. On the sea side, near the Aquarium, there is Marina Porto Antico — ten minutes on foot through piazza Caricamento and piazza Banchi, with more than 230 underground spaces and bays for electric cars. On the city side, near piazza De Ferrari, there is the Piccapietra car park, also about ten minutes away.
By train, from Genova Piazza Principe
By metro: Principe station is a five-minute walk from the railway station; get off at San Giorgio (300 metres from us), head towards piazza Caricamento, turn right into via al Ponte Reale and keep straight to piazza Campetto. Alternatively, bus 35 reaches piazza De Ferrari in ten minutes: from there take Salita San Matteo, reach piazza San Matteo, then vico San Matteo to piazza Campetto. By taxi, just say Piazza di Soziglia 1 — taxis get here without any trouble.
By air, from Cristoforo Colombo airport
The Volabus stops at the third stop, De Ferrari / Centro Città: from piazza De Ferrari take Salita San Matteo, then piazza San Matteo, vico San Matteo, piazza Campetto and finally Piazza di Soziglia. Or take a taxi and ask for Piazza di Soziglia 1.
Phone
Landline: (+39) 010 4596024 and (+39) 010 753 49 64. Mobile: (+39) 393 550 5887 and (+39) 329 533 61 03. These are the four numbers the property publishes: if one does not answer, try the other. For a quick reply, WhatsApp and email are still the fastest.
Check-in and check-out
Times: ⟨to be confirmed⟩. The property reopens on 31 August 2026 under new management and the reception hours have not been set yet. What already holds: at check-in every guest needs an identity document, shown in person at the property — Italian law requires guest registrations with the police to be done that way, not remotely — and it helps us a great deal to know in advance how and when you plan to arrive.
Breakfast
⟨to be confirmed⟩. Until it closed, Teseo served a breakfast built around Genoese products and paid close attention to intolerances and coeliac guests. Whether the service resumes at reopening, and in what form, is for the new management to decide: we would rather not promise it before it is decided.
House rules
No smoking anywhere on the property. No parties or events. Pets are not allowed. Between 10pm and 6am, please keep your voice down: this is a building in the old town, and the neighbours live here.
Tourist tax
The City of Genoa applies a tourist tax, paid at the property and not included in the rate. The amounts changed on 1 August 2026 under a new council resolution: we will confirm them when you book.
